I've been asked to help Facilitate an Internet Safety Course for paretns at the local college. Part of Facilitating the course is coming up with the ciriculm for it. What I'm wondering is...what sort of suggestions does everyone here have?We've already discussed adding not sharing personal information, being careful about talking about things you are doing ie school teams and names, caution when downloading things (of course copy right issues), cyber bullying, not clicking on the little "YOU'VE WON" ads on gaming sites.Antivirus and parental filters (any suggestions for decent parental filters?)Any other ideas and suggestions on what should be touched upon during the course?

Has anyone transfered PayPal money into Bank account?

Well I right now I don't have my personal credit card. So there is no question of linking my credit card with my PayPal account. Now I have some money waiting in my PayPal account. The only way I can withdraw those amount by linking my Bank Account to it. Yes I do have my own bank account. But I am a bit afraid of doing so. If any of you have withdrawn money to your bank account through PayPal please respond. Please tell me how much amount will be deducted from the bank account an other necessary details.

Internet Safety For Our Children Within Two Years?

Sky News today reported on Tuesday that The Children's Charities Coalition for Internet Safety would be addressing a Culture, Media and Sport select committee inquiry looking into harmful content on the internet and video games.According to the Coalition, all that computer manufacturers would have to do, was to pre-install filtering software on each new machine thus protecting our children from pornography sites, or sites containing extreme violence, the only problem being that the industry claim that parents now have to take responsibility for their children's internet activity. However, the Coalition claimed that from their studies, parents felt overwhelmed by it all. I can understand that, as children can go to the libraries and use the internet, or into their friends' homes, where perhaps monitoring isn't an issue.What are your feelings on filtering software being pre-fitted to all new computers? Do you think this is a good idea, and would it help to protect our children? Most good parents filter their children's activities anyway, but sometimes, the parents just aren't aware of what the kids are doing. So, I'm all for it. How about you? Any concerns?
