The World Wide Web (WWW) contains an enormous amount of websites, and children's online activities are more than anything a positive opportunity to attain knowledge, entertainment and communication from this vast amount of information.
However, some of the websites on the WWW contain controversial material, and the SAFT project aims to provide tools to make children's Internet use as safe as possible. Some of the areas SAFT is concerned about are source criticism, personal information, chat, games, pop-ups, spam, adult content, prejudice and exploitation.
Remember, that even if the children might know more about the internet than the parents do, you are still the one most knowledgeable when it comes to dangers, rules and norms.
